What exactly is a confraternity?
A confraternity is a voluntary association of the clergy or laity established under Church Authority for the promotion of special works of Christian charity or piety.
The Confraternity of Christian Mothers is for moms in all stages of motherhood: little ones, teenagers, grown children and grandchildren! The goal of this Confraternity is to unite its members in prayer, but also to support, guide and inspire mother in performing their duties and in practicing virtue. All practicing Catholic married women, with or without children, may join.
The members of Christian Mothers generously give of their time each week to wash altar linens; wash altar robes; cut, stencil, sew and embroider baptismal gowns; call members for funerals; stand honor guard for deceased members' funerals; and offer prayers for sick and deceased members.
